Safety and health of our employees

ASC takes a proactive approach to the safety and health of our employees, the work place and the specific community of where our work may be occurring.

ASC does not compromise safety to maintain margins or schedules.

Safety and regulatory compliance are paramount to all managers, supervisors, workers and subcontractors of ASC

The intent behind ASC’s safety program is predicated on one simple premise. That implementation of safe work practices is integrated into our company culture to such an extent that working safely and compliantly is second nature.

Additionally, it is standard operating practice that ASC employees will be observant of perceived unsafe work practices and report them immediately.

ASC COMMITMENT

Training

All ASC Project Managers and Supervisors are OSHA 30-Hour certified, and are Asbestos, Lead, Microbial and Hazmat Trained and Certified.

All project managers and supervisor are required to participate and successfully complete quarterly safety training conducted by ASC’s Health and Safety Director.

Daily Tool Box safety meetings are conducted on all ASC jobs with all employees attending and participating. These meetings address site specific potential hazards that may exist at the project.

HEALTH&SAFETY MANUAL

All of ASC’s operating procedures are documented, maintained in a standardized format, and revised or modified when necessary.

Procedures and work practices that require written documentation due to regulatory requirements or internal standardization needs will be incorporated in the Health and Safety Manual. Safety procedures and practices will be developed in conjunction with safety representatives and operations personnel input along with all applicable regulatory standards.

In addition to the Health and Safety Manual a site specific Health and Safety Plan is developed specifically for every project performed by ASC

This site specific plan is developed by the company Safety Director along with the Project Manager, Site Superintendent and client.

This plan identifies the project specific health and safety concerns and the practices and procedures that will be put into place to address these hazards. The information generated from this plan will be used to formulate the Daily Tool Box talks that will be held for that project.
